Terms and Conditions
At Second Wave Couture, we pride ourselves on offering a high level of customer service.
In this respect we are meticulous about the description of our products; this is particularly relevant in the case of previously used items, we seek to highlight any marks/flaws/ defects in both written & photographic terms. Every item sold is carefully checked & photographed before delivery. Our aim is to create a good customer experience, and expect repeat business.
In addition we ask the following from our customers;
- read the item description
- view the various images
- check the measurements;
- finally we encourage dialogue, we are readily available to answer any questions or provide additional clarification.
However notwithstanding the above, there are occasions when the customer requests a return/ refund; in this regard our returns policy is described below.
2.1 Change of Mind
Protection is provided under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
In summary the buyer may change their mind & cancel the order within 7 working days after the day on which the item was delivered; E mail notification is required from the customer
We will refund the item cost & the original postage & packaging charges.
The customer must return the goods and pay for the return postage & packaging cost, & arrange & pay for appropriate insurance.
2.2 Duty of care
We hereby notify our customers that they have a statutory duty to ensure that they take appropriate and reasonable care of the goods prior to return. In the event that reasonable care is not exercised and the goods are damaged we maintain the right to make a claim for breach of this statutory duty.
2.3 Faulty or damaged items
We comply with the Sales of Goods Act 1979 (as amended). In summary this provides our customers with the following protection;
- must be of satisfactory quality
- as described
- fit for purpose
NOTE; since many of our items are pre-used; the following only applies to marks/ defects over & above those described in the item description and/or photo images.
We require notification within 24 hours of receipt of goods; E mail notification is required.
We will refund the item cost & the original postage & packaging charges, and the return postage & packaging cost, & appropriate insurance.
We require the customer to return the goods.
3. Item lost or damaged in the post
We include insurance cover in our post & packaging cost & provide a full refund in the event of damage/ loss in transit.
We require that the customer informs us (by E mail) of a postal issue; we then manage the process.
We do not provide replacement items.
We do not provide a warranty
All our items are wrapped and packaged carefully.
We aim to ship within 3 UK working days following receipt of payment.. In the event of exceptional conditions when we are unable to meet this service level we will E mail customer with revised delivery information.
Following despatch we provide the customer with the tracking details.
All deliveries will require a signature on receipt.
6. Non Availability
In the event that the goods are no longer available after the payment has been received we will return all monies and the sale is terminated. We are not under any obligation to provide replacement of substitute items.
We offer online payment via PayPal and credit/debit card. We can also accept International or Inland bank transfers.
Items are despatched following receipt of cleared payment transactions.
6. Post & Packaging
All charges are included within the transaction. However the customer agrees to pay “Change of Mind” return charges.
New stock is consigned by appointment only. We will take designer and good quality high street clothes and accessories. All items must be clean and in excellent condition.
We require a signed guarantee that the consigned items have been acquired legally & are authentic,
